Common wheat (500g)

Wheat or wheat or wheat (Triticum spp), is a plant that is cultivated all over the world. It is the second largest cereal crop in the world, after maize, followed by rice. Wheat fruit is a staple food, used in the preparation of flour, animal feed and as a raw material in the preparation of alcoholic beverages and fuels. Its bark can be detached from the fruit and ground, giving the so-called bran. Wheat is also grown for grazing animals, as well as for straw, the trunk of the plant, which is used as animal feed or construction material.
Wheat is the dominant cereal that has existed for centuries in the Greek diet and has a place either in our main or in between meals.
It is eaten boiled in salads, in meat side dishes, as a porridge, and broken or flour in a variety of pasta and bakery products.
