Lupine seed (250g)

Consumption of lupins provides nutrients in your diet, as it is rich in fiber, protein. They can be consumed by biting a small part of the cortex with the teeth and pushing the seed from the opposite side so that it is removed from the cortex and enters the mouth, many of course consume it with the cortex.
Lupine is the fruit of the Lupine plant, which belongs to the legume family (Faboideae) in the genus Lupinus, numbering about 300 species. The lupins, ie the seeds of the plant, are round and wide. It grows in parts of Mediterranean Europe, Asia and North America. In Greece we find them as food in Mani, Crete, Mount Athos and the Dodecanese.
Lupine is high in protein and low in fat. Gluten free so it is suitable for people with gluten intolerance. It can fight constipation, reduce "bad" cholesterol, triglycerides and blood pressure. Also, to improve the glycemic profile and deal with obesity by affecting the appetite.
Store in a cool and shady place. May contain traces of nuts, soy, sesame, gluten.
